3. Use of the Platform

3.1 Networking and Case Referrals

The platform facilitates networking and case referrals among users. For Indian lawyers, monetary compensation for referrals is prohibited under Rule 47 of the Bar Council of India Rules. Users from other countries must comply with their local regulations.

3.2 No Advertising or Solicitation

Indian users must adhere to Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules, which prohibits advertising or soliciting clients. This includes:

• Promoting legal services in posts or comments.
• Displaying information intended to solicit clients.
• Users from other jurisdictions must comply with their respective advertising and solicitation rules.

3.3 Content Sharing

Users may share legal insights, case details (excluding client-sensitive data), and participate in discussions. All shared content must comply with professional ethics and applicable laws.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Ownership

Users retain ownership of the content they upload but grant Legal Social a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute the content for platform functionality.

4.2 Platform Materials

All platform content, including logos, designs, and software, is the exclusive property of Legal Social and protected by intellectual property laws.

5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

Users must not share sensitive client information or breach confidentiality obligations.

Legal Social (“LS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of individuals using our platform.
